‘Mohabbat ki Mehendi’
Anushka Sharma had told her official wedding designer, ‘Sabyasachi Mukherjee’, that she wanted a boho look full of bright colors. The designers created a graphic lehenga in fuchsia pink and Indian orange.
A stunning pair of jhumkas from The Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry Collection, juttis in handwoven brocade and zardozi completed her look.
Virat opted for a signature khadi kurta churidaar with classic fuchsia pink textured silk Nehru jacket detailed with the Sabyasachi House blazer buttons. A custom tan leather jutti with a zardozi crest was created for the ensemble.
‘Haldi Ceremony’
The heartthrob, Virat Kohli was all lost in the happiness and joy during the Haldi. He rocked his look with a yellow kurta and white trousers. Here we have some adorable pictures of him with his family and friends.
‘The Engagement’
The bride, Anushka wore a Sabyasachi velvet saree which was made in Gulkand Burgundy. It was hand-embroidered using miniature pearls and the finest quality zardozi and marori. The entire look was complemented when Virat in his crisp blue suit joined his bride. Isn’t it so dreamy and magical?!
The Invitation
Keeping in tandem with the theme of their wedding ceremony, Virat and Anushka sent across environment-friendly invites. It was paired with handcrafted chocolates and truffles from a boutique along with a sapling as a memento of their ever-growing love.
‘The Wedding’
The dream wedding took place at Borgo Finocchieto in an 800-year old heritage resort. This venue is in Buoncovento and is about an hour from the city of Tuscany.
Anushka was definitely one of the most stunning brides of the Sabyasachi. She wore a pale pink lehenga with renaissance embroidery in vintage English colors embellished with silver-gold metal threads, pearls, and beads.
Bridal jewelry was handcrafted with syndicate uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel, and baroque Japanese cultured pearls by The Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery Collection.

Virat wore an ivory raw silk sherwani, hand-embroidered in a vintage Benarasi pattern and signature House buttons with an old rose silk Kota safe.
The Delhi Reception
The reception at Delhi took place at the Durbar Hall of the Taj Diplomatic Enclave. With PM Modi among the invitees, many other political leaders also attended the reception party. A live performance by Punjabi singer Gurdas Mann took place at the event.
Anushka decided to wear red colored Benarasi saree from the by-lanes of Peeli Kothi in Benaras. The red bindi, the sindoor, and the mogra in her hair just made the look more potent and powerful.
Virat wore a black textured silk signature bandhgala and white silk kurta with hand-woven brocade churidaar. He teamed it with mojris from the Sabyasachi accessories line and a hand-embroidered Pashmina shawl.
The Mumbai Reception
This lavish reception was organized at the St. Regis close to Lower Parel, Worli. Virat and Anushka made a stunning appearance in Sabyasachi and Raghavendra Rathore outfits. Anushka looked resplendent in a sequinned smoky grey lehenga while Virat complimented her in an indigo velvet bandhgala and silk pants.
